Andre Drummond will miss four to six weeks with a fractured tailbone, the Detroit News reported.
The newspaper reported that the rookie center from UCONN suffered a stress fracture of the fifth lumbar vertebra. The Pistons team physician Ben Paolucci told reporters that Drummond won't require surgery and shouldn't suffer any long-lasting issues.
Drummond was in the midst of a solid rookie campaign, progressing every month of the season. In 50 games, Drummond is averaging 7.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, .5 assists, .9 steals and 1.7 blocks in 19.7 minutes.
Drummond's potential is tantalizing if he ever gets the run.
