Toronto Raptors center Jonas Valanciunas posted his third straight solid game in Tuesday's win over a depleted Denver Nuggets squad.
The rookie center made just 1-of-3 shots, but made all six of his free throw for eight points to go with eight rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 32 minutes. He started again, and doesn't appear headed back to the bench. And he's thriving in the role.
In a February 10 win over the New Orleans Hornets, Valanciunas scored 11 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and blocked two shots. Two nights before that, he double-doubled in a win over the Indiana Pacers with 14 points and 13 rebounds. He also blocked two shots.
So his two-game, double-double streak ended Tuesday, but he still produced. And he's averaging two blocks in his last three games.
Valanciunas is owned in 19 percent of Yahoo leagues. If you need a big for the rest of the way, he's a solid choice.
