"Real American" Jack Swagger survived the Elimination Chamber match, setting up WWE's anti-immigration grappler as the No. 1 contender for the World Championship held by "Mexican Aristocrat" Alberto Del Rio.
Swagger stole victory from Randy Orton, rolling him up for a surprise one, two, three in an excellent match. WWE began building Swagger's nativist cred this week by giving him a manager, Zeb Colter (aka "Dirty" Dutch Mantel named after Ann Coulter), who spouted a bunch of xenophobic rhetoric on Raw. It's a naked attempt to piggyback off indie wrestler R.J. Brewer, who's garnered headlines by claiming to be the son of Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer and ranting against undocumented immigration (in his case, masked luchadors).
Del Rio retained the World Title by making the Big Show tap out to his armbar submission hold in a solid match (it's hard to top two last man standing matches).
