Brooklyn Nets offering uninspiring Kris Humprhies, MarShon Brooks package for Pierce, Smith, Ilyasova

If the Brooklyn Nets want Josh Smith, Paul Pierce or Ersan Ilyasova, they need to offer a sweeter deal than Kris Humphries and MarShon Brooks. The Nets have shopped the pair to Atlanta, Boston and Milwaukee and, so far, no one is interested.

The play for J-Smoove has long been rumored.

The Celtics and Nets reportedly talked about a deal for Pierce that included Brooklyn sending Boston a first-round pick, Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski reported. But neither team would meet the other's asking price.

The Nets offered Hump and Brooks to the Nets for Ilyasova but were rejected, ESPN's Marc Stein reported. But the Bucks rejected it like Dikembe Mutombo in a Geico commercial.
The deadline is less than 24 hours away, so we won't have long to wait to see if any of the big names get moved. And if the Nets can find a taker for their scraps.
