Scratch the Phoenix Suns off the list of teams in the Josh Smith derby.
ESPN is reporting that the Suns are "unlikely" to be able to pry J-Smoove from the Atlanta Hawks. That leaves Milwaukee (possibly moving Monta Ellis), Brooklyn (likely offering Kris Humphries and MarShon Brooks), Washington (offering everyone but John Wall, Nene and Bradley Beal) and Boston (probably having to give up Paul Pierce).
Phoenix is still expected to be a player in the trade market prior to Thursday's deadline.
The Suns have shopped Jermaine O'Neal to the New York Knicks, who have "strong interest" in the veteran forward, and Sebastian Telfair to the Toronto Raptors, who have also shown interest in Minnesota's Luke Ridnour and Oklahoma City's Eric Maynor, ESPN reported.
