Andrew Bogut is an incredibly hard fantasy player to trust. The Golden State Warriors oft-injured center is "out indefinitely" with back spasms, according to the Mercury News. The 7-foot Australian had an MRI on his back Friday, but the results have not been released.
Bogut had played in his first set of back-to-back games of the season, and now he's inactive again. Warriors coach Mark Jackson told reporters that the severity of Bogut's injury isn't known.
But Bogut has a history of back issues, dating back to a stress fracture that cost him half of the 2008-09 season.
In 2009-10, he missed one game with a back strain, and five games last season with a sore back. So this is something fantasy owners should definitely be worried about.
This all comes after Bogut played a season-high 29 minutes in a 108-96 win over the Phoenix Suns. Bogut finished that game with seven points, 11 rebounds, five assists, two steals and three blocks. That's a fine line, but fantasy owners need nightly production and Bogut just cannot be counted on.
