The Rock defeated CM Punk int he main event of Sunday's Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. The win didn't come without a bit of controversy. Punk had the Brahma Bull pinned, but the referee was knocked out. A second ref ran in but injured his ankle and rolled out of the ring.
Paul Heyman grabbed the championship and slid it to Punk, who tried to hit The Rock, who moved just in time for the Second City Saint to smack the one-time mastermind of Extreme Championship Wrestling. The Rock then gave Punk a Rock Bottom and pinned him for the win.
The Great One going over was the right move, setting up the biggest money match (outside of Rock vs. Brock Lesnar) with John Cena, who will likely get his win back at MetLife Stadium.
