Scott Hall sober for more than 40 days; DDP wants to raise $80,000 for Hall's hip replacement (video)

Scott Hall has been sober for more than 40 days. That's according to a fund-raising website set up by Diamond Dallas Page.

DDP is trying to raise $80,000 to cover Hall's hip replacement surgery, physical therapy,  dental work and ongoing medical expenses. So far, he's raised more than $52,000 with 27 days left in the campaign (donate here). There are perks for giving, depending on how much is given (signed photos, phone calls from the Bad Guy and, for $3,500, a visit to DDP's "accountability crib").

Here's DDP's explanation for why he needs help:

Unfortunately, we didn't know just how broken Scott's body was.  At the young age of 54, Scott has had a pacemaker, and defibrillator implanted for his heart, and he can barely walk due to extreme arthritis in his hip.  Unless he gets a hip replacement, he will be unable to do the necessary exercise in order to get his health back.  Without medical insurance, Scott's inability to pay for the procedures he needs are a major hurdle to his physical recovery.

 DDP put together a video to show just how rough of shape the former Razor Ramon is in.



Who will make sure the money gets where it's supposed to go? DDP and his people will manage the money to make sure its "used solely for the benefit of Scott Hall's process of recovery and physical rehabilitation."
