The Toronto Raptors announced Wednesday that Andrea Bargnani's season is over due to a right elbow strain.
Bargnani has an avulsion sprain of his right elbow, but it's not related to his previous elbow injury that kept him out for 26 games -- from December 12 to February 3 -- of this season.
Bargs suffered the injury during the first quarter of the March 8 game with the Los Angeles Lakers. He left the game and never returned.
This ends an awful season for the former No. 1 overall pick, who was making just 40 percent of his shots and averaging 12.7 points and 3.7 rebounds a game. He was the subject of trade rumors that never came to fruition. He has also been booed by Raptors fans.
Give a bump to the values of Amir Johnson and Jonas Valanciunas. Johnson is having a fantastic season; he's one of the most underrated pickups of the year.
