Utah Jazz likely to keep Al Jefferson, maybe deal Paul Millsap

The latest rumor on Utah Jazz forwards Al Jefferson and Paul Millsap is that the franchise is more likely to keep Jefferson than Millsap. This comes from Ric Bucher, who writes:

Latest word on Utah Jazz and who they'll keep vs. deal between Al Jefferson and Paul Millsap: Jefferson is the likeliest to stay right now, according to several opposing team executives. Consensus is the Jazz can't afford to keep both with Gordon Hayward soon to be eligible for an extension and the belief that Hayward is in the team's long-term plans. 

Something has to give in this situation, considering the Jazz have a bench stocked with young bigs who need playing time.

Last week, veteran NBA scribe Chris Sheridan reported that the San Antonio Spurs were the front-runners to land Jefferson in a trade. 

A few months ago, ESPN's Chad Ford speculated that the Jazz were more likely to trade Jefferson than Millsap. Then ESPN's Marc Stein reported that Millsap could be the one to go.

So something may get done in Utah before the February 21 trade deadline. What that something is, eh, it's not so clear.
