Charlie Villanueva is taking advantage of Andre Drummond's injury (out four to six weeks with a fractured tailbone). Charlie V. lit up the Milwaukee Bucks with 18 points (7-13 FG), knocking down four 3-pointers, including a game winner, in the Pistons' 105-100 win.
Villanueva made it a double-double with 13 rebounds, and added an assist and a block in 25 minutes. Another productive outing for the veteran forward. In Friday night's win over the San Antonio Spurs, Villanueva scored 21 points (7-15), hit five 3-pointers, grabbed eight rebounds and blocked two shots in 33 minutes.
Villanueva appears to be fantasy relevant and available: He's owned in just 3 percent of Yahoo leagues.
If you're hesitant to add him, I don't blame you. Villanueva hasn't impressed with his season averages: 7.5 points, 1.5 3-pointers, 3.4 rebounds, .8 assists, .5 steals and .5 blocks in 16.3 minutes per game. With Drummond out at least a month, Villanueva could contribute with the rare mix of threes, boards and blocks.
