The Chicago Bulls and Toronto Raptors have engaged in trade discussions for a deal involving Carlos Boozer for Andrea Bargnani.
ESPN's Marc Stein broke the story, and he noted that other players with smaller contracts would have to be added to the deal to make it work. Standing in the way of a potential deal -- whether Toronto could afford to have Boozer and Gay on the team.
UPDATE: Bulls beat writer KC Johnson reported that Nate Robinson and John Lucas III could be involved in a deal, and the Trade Machine says it works.
This seems like a really, really bad deal for the Bulls. Yes, Boozer costs more money. Quality players do.
Meanwhile, Bargnani is in the midst of another injury-plagued season. This deal seems a bit far flung.
