Jimmy Butler did some cross-category damage in his second start for the injured Luol Deng (hamstring).
The Bulls' sophomore swingman scored 10 points (4-10 FG, 2-2 FT) to go with eight rebounds, four assists and a steal in a whopping 43 minutes. And the Bulls beat the Lakers. Not a bad night at all.
This followed Saturday's 18-point, eight-rebound, three-assist, and three-steal coming out party.
Deng is day-to-day, so this could come to an end at any time. But I wonder if the Bulls will consider moving Rip Hamilton to the bench when Deng returns to keep Butler in the mix.
Butler is owned in 2 percent of leagues. He's worth a deep-league add and possibly more depending on how the Bulls use him in Deng's return.
