Sammartino told the Wrestling Observer's Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer that the former governor of California is under consideration to send him into WWE's hall of the immortals (subscription required and encouraged). Sammartino told the insiders that the WWE "wanted someone worldly, someone known all over" to do the honors.
"When they found out [about] this International Hall of Fame thing, and they knew that I knew Arnold, right away they thought when I hook up with him, that we try him first before they try some other people. ... Arnold is a possibility."
If it was up to the "Living Legend," he would suggest Larry Zbyszko, Ivan Koloff or Bill Watts.
