Thaddeus Young is out three weeks with a hamstring strain. Sixers coach Doug Collins hinted Monday night that Young would "be out for a while."
An MRI revealed Tuesday that Young suffered a Grade 1 strain, the least severe, 76ers beat writer Jason Wolfe reported. A Grade 3 strain would have been a complete tear of the muscle.
So Young is on the better side of his hamstring injury, but this still stings for Philadelphia. Young will miss about seven games. Luckily, the All-Star break adds a bit of a cushion.
The Philadelphia forward left Monday's game after 15 minutes and didn't return.
From a fantasy perspective, Lavoy Allen is likely to pick up some minutes. But I'd only pick him up in deep leagues, unless he shows something that wasn't there in the 32 games that he already started (averaging 6.8 points, 5.7 rebounds and .8 blocks in 24.4 minutes).
