The Boston Celtics aren't likely to trade Paul Pierce. ESPN's Marc Stein calls the chances of the Celtics dealing the Truth "highly remote."
But if Boston were to move the former Kansas Jayhawk, there's one destination that makes a lot of sense: Los Angeles. As in, the Clippers.
Stein writes that if Boston GM Danny Ainge were to trade Pierce, he's try to send him somewhere No. 34 "could get somewhat excited about. And that leaves only one realistic option: Pierce going back home to Los Angeles with the Clippers for a package headlined by young point guard Eric Bledsoe."
Again, this isn't likely. Bledsoe is "untouchable" because the Clippers need a backup plan in case Chris Paul leaves in free agency. And the Celtics aren't likely to get as much in return as Pierce is worth.
More likely: The Celtics move Brandon Bass, Courtney Lee or Jason Terry.
