Still in the running are the Cleveland Cavaliers and Charlotte Bobcats. Both franchises are willing to offer Oden a deal after the February 21 trade deadline.
The Cars are reportedly ready to offer the former No. 1 pick a two-year deal that would include a team option for a third year.
There have been a lot of rumors. Oden's agent, Mike Conley Sr., has pushed the idea of Oden possibly signing with the San Antonio Spurs and the Bobcats. That was after Oden's meeting with the Boston Celtics. And even a few more weeks after the Cavs and Miami Heat were called the finalists for the former No. 1 pick's services.
So the Heat are out. And the Cavs and Bobcats are still in the running. But until the trade dealine passes, we likely won't know Oden's destiantion.
Heat have removed themselves from Greg Oden derby, sources say. Both Cavs and Bobcats prepared to make Oden offer after trading deadline.
