CM Punk's loss to The Rock was the worst part of the week for man shot in the eye during robbery

Thomas Dotterer was shot in the eye during a liquor store robbery. The 77-year-old high school basketball coach returned to work at the store in less than a week. That's remarkable. So is Dotterer's love of former WWE Champion CM Punk.

Even after getting shot and being in critical condition, Dotterer could still joke that the near-death experience wasn't the worst part of his week. It was Punk's loss to The Rock at the Royal Rumble.

"That's the worst thing that happened to me all week, the Rock beat Punk," Dotterer told WSYR TV news. "Did you know that?"

Yep, we did. Dotterer's story was so unreal that he caught the attention of the Second City Saint.
