The Denver Nuggets are likely to trade Timofey Mozgov by the February 21 deadline.
The Denver Post reports that the Nuggets have received more calls about Mozgov than anyone on the roster. For real? More than Kenneth Faried, Ty Lawson, Andre Iguodala and Danilo Gallinari? I guess if those guys aren't officially on the block, GMs would be less likely to call about them?
The attraction to Mozgov is easy to understand: serviceable big plus expiring contract equals GM want.
And the Miami Heat reportedly are interested in prying Mozgov from George Karl's cold, dead hands. That might be a big easier with a roster stocked with bigs: Kosta Koufos, JaVale McGee, Faried and Wilson Chandler.
In 24 games, Mozgov is averaging 2.6 points, 3 rebounds and .6 blocks in 9.6 minutes.
