So far, so good with Earl Clark. His first night as the Lakers' starting power forward ended in a loss, but Clark played well (12 points, eight rebounds and two blocks).
Clark played 34 minutes, and it sounds like he's locked in going forward. Pick him up.
Off the bench, Pau Gasol played 25 minutes but posted an efficient line: 15 points, 12 rebounds, two assists and two blocks. Gasol seemed to respond, but he's on record saying he wants to be a starter.
Dwight Howard got himself into foul trouble and found himself on the bench late. He still played 29 minutes, scoring eight points, pulling down nine rebounds and blocking two shots.
The Lakers are a mess right now, but Clark is looking like a waiver-wire gem.
