Punk was teaming with Antonio Cesare against Miz and Ryback, and he was injured during a botched suplex performed by Miz. ProWrestling.net reported that Punk, "in obvious pain," rolled out of the ring, but "word after the show was that Punk was sore, yet was expected to be OK."
The Wrestling Observer added that a trainer checked on Punk during the match, and Punk gutted out the rest of the match although he "was shaken up." The Observer, citing WWE sources, added that "all indications are that he is OK."
An injury to Punk could have a) jeopardized Punk's career and b) derailed WWE's plans heading into WrestleMania.
Hopefully the Straight Edge Superstar doesn't have any lingering issues. He's a week away from facing The Rock for the title at the Elimination Chamber, and an injury could have seriously screwed up WWE's plans on the road to WrestleMania.
This isn't the first time that The Miz has been accused of injuring a fellow wrestler. Last year, Triple H chewed The Miz's ass for not protecting R-Truth on a flip dive on Raw. These type of things don't bode well for someone's push. Just ask Mr.
UPDATE: ProWrestling.net posted this photo of the suplex spot:
