The old guys still have it. Shawn Marion and Vince Carter led the Mavericks to a 111-105 win Sunday over the Orlando Magic.
Matrix scored a double-double with 20 points (10-16 FG) and 10 rebounds with four assists and three steals. Once a top 10 (fantasy player), Marion still holds some value with averages of 10.4 points, 8.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists, .8 steals and .6 blocks with 10 3-pointers. He's 63 percent owned in Yahoo.
Vince Carter scored 15 points (4-11 FG, 4-4 FT) with three 3-pointers, two rebounds, six assists, a steal and three blocks. He's owned in 50 percent in Yahoo leagues. This followed a 29-point effort on Friday night.
Vinsanity is holding a little value this season with averages of 12.3 points, 4 rebounds, 1.9 assists, .9 steals and .6 blocks with 74 3-pointers made. ESPN's Marc Stein reported that the Mavs could try to move Carter prior to the deadline.
Marion is the better play. But neither should be used in lineups this week with the Mavs only playing two games.
