The "Bird Man" is back in the league -- for at least the next 10 days. The Miami Heat signed Chris Andersen to a 10-day contract Sunday.
In his last season in the league (2011-12) with the Denver Nuggets, Andersen averaged 5.3 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 15.2 minutes. He played 32 games.
The Nuggets used the amnesty clause to release Andersen in July 2012 -- two months after an investigation of Andersen allegedly involving child pornography was opened. Andersen hasn't been charged. His home was searched and property was seized.
In 2006, the NBA suspended Andersen for violating the league's anti-drug policy. He was reinstated in 2008.
He's not worth owning outside of the deepest of deep leagues.
