Bismack Biyombo was long overdue for one of these days. The Bobcats' second-year big man swatted a season high seven shots in Monday's 100-94 loss to the Houston Rockets.
Biyombo played 36 minutes (the most since January 6 when he played 34) on his way to two points (1-5 FG), nine rebounds and a steal.
Biyombo hasn't advanced much beyond his rookie season. His rebounds (6.7 per game) are up while his blocks (1.5) are down. He's a gamble of a play (owned in 16 percent of Yahoo leagues), although he has the potential, if getting more than 30 minutes, to win blocks for head-to-head owners.
Kemba Walker continued his sophomore tear: 35 points (12-21 FG, 5-6 FT), six 3-pointers, three rebounds, five assists and a steal. He ultimately lost the duel with the Rockets' James Harden (29 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and two steals).
Walker is a star in the making.
